Engagement

BombGuy and I are engaged..its official, we even had a party, I think my liver hates me as a result!
It was a small but awesome gathering at Lake Lyndon Lodge in the Canterbury high country. No theme, but it was a pot luck dinner, with the catch that you had to bring something starting with the first letter of your last name.  This was a cunning plan devised by BombGuy so we didnt end up with heaps of salad and sausages.
It worked, to a point. We still had stacks of snarlers of various types and some steak , Oh and the roast rabbit (YUM) but what we did end up with was S**t loads of sweets.  Coffee and Cake Saturday was cancelled due to lack of interest.... We had the worlds most enormous trifle, carefully transported from Nelson, an Enormous chocolate tray cake, two cheesecakes (homemade by BombGuy and Myself ), eclairs filled with whipped cream and strawberries and only one salad - a Waldorf, also supplied by myself, which was almost deserty by way of being fruit.
All in all though a fantastic spread and "Big Ups" to all who attended and added to the table.

It doesnt look like much but we were only feeding twelve people .. and those twelve people had comsumed some alcohol by the time we got to dinner ....
